Tell us something about yourself. Who are you as a person? What are your likes and dislikes? 
My Name is Soundarya Mohan. I am from Mumbai. I love Literature and write about my feelings about life. I have Completed my (B.A) Graduation from Mumbai. I Believe that Everyone Must have a Dream to Achieve, Success, and be happy and successful in life. I have worked in many 40+ Anthologies as a Co-Author and many more to come. I want to Explore and Make a Better Version of life. I have published my first book Silver Sunshine as a Compiler too. I love to sing too.


When did the writer’s bug first bite you? Who or what inspired you to take up writing? 

I was inspired to write because It makes me feel happy, and I love nature. I am a nature lover. I like to be inspired by writing.


What do you do, and how has it influenced your poetry? 

I get inspired by nature and people.

I also like to read many famous authors’ poems and get inspired by them.


As an author, where do you see yourself five years from now?

I see myself as a successful and happy person. I want to achieve my dreams and be happy. I want to be a better person. Make myself and my family proud of me and develop my skills. 


How do you face Writers’ Block? What motivates you to keep writing?

No, I haven’t faced any such thing. My motivation for life and happiness and my friends and family motivates me to keep writing. I’m also passionate about books.


How has writing built you?

Writing has taught me that it gives me pleasure, and it’s my hobby. Writing has made me confident, and I gained knowledge from the report. 


What are your Achievements? Awards, if any? 

I have co-authored over 40+ books. I have won first prize in an article writing competition in my college. I have won many best writer awards and certificates also in various competitions.

 

Tell us a bit about how much time you spend in a day on writing. Are you a disciplined writer or a spontaneous one?

To be honest, I am a spontaneous writer. I write what I feel from within. I also write whenever I feel like it. I developed an interest in writing.


Are you a reader yourself? What are some of your favorite books?

Yes. I’m an avid reader. My passion is that I love to read all types of books. My favorites are love stories, novels, love stories, articles, motivational books, etc.


Reading in the mountains or reading on the beach?

Yes, Both. I like to read in the mountains and the beach. I want to sit and see the beautiful views and enjoy writing.

I’m a coffee person. I love coffee.


A literary figure you would love to meet.

Yes. I would love to meet Chetan Bhagat and women writers Jane Austen and Anita Desai. These people inspired me a lot.


Any new projects that you are currently working on?

Yes, I am doing many anthologies and also pursuing my hobbies.


When did you write your first book/poem, and how old were you?

I was 20 years old. I started writing since lockdown. Then I became part of various anthologies. I developed my skills in writing during the lockdown. This was the time when I truly enjoyed writing.


What do you like to do when you’re not writing?

I like to listen to music or else I like to watch movies, or I like to go for long walks and see sunsets and admire nature.


What does your family think of your writing?

My family always supports and encourages me for everything. They think I am a good writer and also can fulfill my dreams. My family always appreciates my capabilities, hard work, and willingness to work towards my goals.
