1. Tell us something about yourself. Who are you as a person? What are your likes and dislikes?

Amit Chhabra who is born and raised in the Anoopgarh, a Tahsil situated at Indo-Pak border of in Shriganganagar district in Rajasthan, is an Assistant Audit Officer in defence account department by profession and has an ardent love for Hindi poetry. Having a positive attitude towards life even in the most adverse situations is his sole motto.

Apart from the job, he also loves to Sketch, Listening to music and Watching movies, but what he loves most is scribbling his emotions. He started writing since lockdown during 2020 but never thought to be a published author.                                            

However, destiny had some other plans, and today he is a co-author of around 10 anthologies. He believes this is solely God's graces and blessings of his loved ones. He has always dreamt to have a solo book which is in under process and 'EK SAFAR MEET SE MEET TAK' is his first step towards fulfilling his dream.

He does not like selfish persons.

 

2. When were you first bitten by the writer's bug? Who or what inspired you to take up writing?

I remember when I was in a job with State bank of India, first time I heard a poetry 'kabhi meera diwani thi' of Mr Kumar Vishwas, after that I thought to Writing but did not do so. During the lockdown, I wrote some lines with the help of Mr Ashwani Chawla. Slowly, I kept writing, and readers liked it.

 

 

3. When do you primarily write? 

I write when I am sad, happy, bored, romantic, and travelling.

 

4. As an author, where do you see yourself five years from now? 

It's beginning for me.

 

5. How do you face Writers' Block? What motivates you to keep writing?

It is a lengthy process. Life experiences motivate me to keep writing.

 

6. How has writing built you? 

My experiences are reflected in my writings, and it shows who I am.

 

7. What are your Achievements? Awards, if any? 

If someone likes or loves to read my writings, that is my award.

 

8. Tell us a bit about how much time you spend in a day on writing. Are you a disciplined writer or a spontaneous one?

I spend my time writing whenever I am free.

 

9. Are you a reader yourself? What are some of your favorite books?

Yes, but I read gazals of Galib or Sahir Ludhiyanvi and Kumar Vishwas.

 

10. Reading in the mountains or reading on the beach?

Mountains.

 

11. A quote that never fails to motivate you.

Write always.

 

12. Coffee or tea?

No coffee No Tea

 

13. Any new projects that you are currently working on? 

My first poetry book is in Under publication process as the name ""Ek Safar Meet Se Meet Tak"".

 

14. When did you write your first book/poem, and how old were you? 

The solo book is in progress. I am 37 years old, and it's been 1 year I started writing.

 

15. What do you like to do when you're not writing? 

Before this, sketching was my hobby, but got popular as writer.

 

16. What does your family think of your writing? 

They support me as my best readers.
