Tell us something about yourself. Who are you as a person? What are your likes and dislikes?

Vibhor Bijoy is a software engineer by profession and a poet by passion. He has been a part of various amazing anthologies and loves to jot down his feelings in a candid manner. He is also a co-author in more than 200 books, compiling many anthologies. He is also a podcaster doing a podcast on Podbean and Spotify. Besides that, he writes articles for websites like PWI and Hey Bihar. He lives in Delhi. Besides all this, he performs on YouTube. When were you first bitten by the writer’s bug? Who or what inspired you to take up writing?

At the age of 10, I wrote my first article on friendship. In college, I wrote in fests. Basically, in this lockdown, I became a writer to avoid the frustration caused by the pandemic. My mother supports my writing. I remember my special friend Aastha Agarwaal and my brothers Yash and Swapnil encouraging me to grow in this field. Later on, I met great personalities like Pramila di, Navya, Durlav, Somya, Riya etc., who gave me multiple platforms to showcase my talent. 

 

What do you do, and how has it influenced your poetry? 

I am a software engineer, and I feel writing poetry is synonymous with software development.

I analyze the situation and then weave my write-up.

 

As an author, where do you see yourself five years from now?

I want to be a renowned writer and build a generation of writers in the next ten years so that no one dies of depression.

 

How do you face Writers’ Block? What motivates you to keep writing?

I take it on a positive note. Reviews from good critics like Lavanaya Venugopal, Sarika P.S., Priyanka Bhattacharjee etc., motivate me to be a better writer as these are stalwarts in the writing industry.


How has writing built you? 

It has changed my perception of life and has taught me to take pride in small moments, and I want to achieve great heights in writing and podcasting. 

 

What are your Achievements? Awards, if any? 

Right now, nothing but soon will be bringing many laurels.

 

Tell us a bit about how much time you spend in a day on writing. Are you a disciplined writer or a spontaneous one?

I spend 2 hours writing. I am a spontaneous writer as I can write in any situation.

 

Are you a reader yourself? What are some of your favourite books?

I like reading biographies, books having the romantic and thriller genre.


Reading in the mountains or reading on the beach?

Reading on the beach as it gives me peace.

When did you write your first book/poem, and how old were you?

At 25, I wrote my first book, 25 stars. Looking forward to writing more solo books.

 

What do you like to do when you’re not writing?

Boxing, Running on Treadmill, Weight Training and Cycling.

 

What does your family think of your writing?

They support me fully in writing and appreciate my work.
