 Nandita Rani Giri, Odisha, India

Tell us something about yourself. Who are you as a person? What are your likes and dislikes?

Myself Nandita. I am a compiler of 8 anthologies and co-author of 50+ anthologies. Apart from this, I believe in service to mankind, so I am pursuing BAMS.

Basically, I am an introvert... But once I become attached to someone, the real side of me can be seen.

I am a fun-loving nature lover and very much desperate to learn new things.

I love to explore my writings, love to explore new places and hang out with my friends is the best thing I used to do.

I don't have any dislikes cause I believe that everything is best in its own way.

When were you first bitten by the writer's bug? Who or what inspired you to take up writing?

After schooling, I went to a hostel. Everything was new to me. I started missing my parents there, and I penned down my emotions for the first time.

Then gradually, I started writing poems, phrases, quotes and some short stories too.

To the question of who and what inspired me to write, I will answer LONELINESS for it. Because of it, only I started penning down my emotions.

What do you do, and how has it influenced your poetry?

I used to observe each and everything around me; being a BAMS STUDENT, every day, I came across the people struggling to survive. And their pain was expressed by me through my pen.

As an author, where do you see yourself five years from now?

I want to see my bunch of books filled in a library.

How do you face Writers' Block? What motivates you to keep writing?

With my past experience, The praise from my mentors and my co-authors keeps on motivating me.

How has writing built you?

Writing gives me fame. Earlier I am not known to anyone. But now, at least 100 people all over India know me. Even google baba knows me😅

What are your Achievements? Awards, if any?

Tell us a bit about how much time you spend in a day on writing. Are you a disciplined writer or a spontaneous one?

Basically, at night after finishing all my work... I used to write quotes over your quote and mirakee... I am a disciplined writer.

Are you a reader yourself? What are some of your favorite books?

Yeah, I love to read romance novels by Chetan Bhagat, Durjoy Datta.

Reading in the mountains or reading on the beach?

I prefer mountains.

A quote that never fails to motivate you.

Work hard until your signature becomes an autograph... This quote always motivates me.

Neither coffee nor tea. I love cold drinks.

Apart from writing, I love to do cooking and exploring with friends.
